Pella Auditorium Upgrades

The Pella High School auditorium will undergo a transformation over the summer.

In a special meeting Thursday, the Pella School Board approved $285,000 in upgrades to the seating, floors, and lighting of the nearly four decade old facility. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says the move was made to have the auditorium better fit the needs of those attending school functions and match the ongoing renovations at the high school.

“Over the last couple of years we’ve updated the curtains and we’ve updated the sound system, and now it was time to update the seats and flooring,” Ebeling says. “It’ll kind of mesh nicely with the other improvements we’re doing at the high school.”

The contract to add 56 seats and update the space was awarded to Premier F&E.
