Election results are in from yesterday’s primaries. Martin Duffy of Knoxville defeated Lois DeWaard of Pleasantville in the Democratic primary.

Duffy took in 62.3% of the vote. Duffy will face incumbent Republican Greg Heartsill in the general election for the House District 28 seat in the legislature. Patty Judge won the statewide primary determining a Democratic challenger for incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Charles Grassley. Judge has garnered 47.6% of the vote.These results are not official and will be verified by Secretary of State’s Office.
