The Pella City Council approved the final phase of long-term water improvements at their meeting last night.
A pair of resolutions approved a $1.244 million contract with Dave Schmitt Construction to complete a water main and waste line to and from the Water Treatment Plant. They also approved a $17,000 change order to the contract for the transition to a reverse osmosis treatment plant.
In other business, they also passed a resolution extending a moratorium on new single family and duplex home permits along the Main and Washington Street gateway corridors until an ordinance for design standards is adopted.
