A Des Moines man has pled guilty to a sexual abuse charge for an incident in Pella.

Thrace Young-McDade received a sentence of 10 years in prison, lifetime parole, and a requirement to register as a sex offender for life after pleading guilty Friday at the Marion County Courthouse.

In February, the Pella Police Department concluded a six-week sex abuse investigation, and police say an incident occurred in late 2015 in Pella that involved a sex act between a 14-year-old female juvenile and the 22-year-old Young-McDade. He was charged with sexual abuse in the 3rd degree, a class C felony.
