Phase three of the city of Pella’s long term water supply plan has officially been approved.
The city council awarded a contract to Dave Schmitt Construction for $1.244 million. City Administrator Mike Nardini says this final portion of the $16 million plan will connect the soon-to-be improved Water Treatment Plant with the rest of the system.
The city council also approved an additional contract change order for approximately $17,000 to the new reverse osmosis treatment system at the city’s plant. Nardini says add-ons are typical in projects of this nature and this scope.
