The Pella City Council set a public hearing date for the last major project tied to the city’s underground electric conversion project.

City Administrator Mike Nardini says a contract should be awarded at the July 19th meeting for improvements to the Central College neighborhood. Nardini says the underground conversion has significantly improved reliability in the city.

More than 90% of the city’s power lines that can go underground have been placed.
