The Pleasantville Baseball team would keep pace in a competitive Pride of Iowa Conference Race with a 10-1 win over the Wayne Falcons last night.
Colton Major would go from start to finish on the mound as he lead the Trojans towards victory picking up the win. The Trojans will play an unorthodox doubleheader today, they will travel to Mount Ayr for an afternoon game, then at the conclusion they will travel to Bedford for a night game. The Softball team would give up five runs in the first inning, but just two more baserunners the rest of the way but couldnt find enough offense in a 5-2 defeat to Wayne. Hannah Hatch was 2-4 and Avari Heinz-Penz and Kailey Brown both had RBI hits to pace the Trojans, and Head Coach Robert Friday told KNIA/KRLS Sports that his team just can’t give up a lead like that if they expect to win. The Team will join the baseball squad on the road trip to take on Bedford.
