The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Supervisors approved a site plan for the construction of cabins on the parcel of land owned by Van Hall Developing west of Pella and accepted a proposal from LISCO for cable fiber to Marion County locations. Supervisor Mark Raymie says piggybacking on the City of Knoxville’s current fiber build out with LISCO will save the county a few hundred thousand dollars.The Supervisors also approved the addition of a temporary assistant director to the Marion County Senior Nutrition Program. The assistant director will work with current director Dawn Allspach-Kline and replace her when she vacates the position. Supervisor Raymie expressed thanks for Allspach-Kline’s proactive action for a smooth transition in program leadership.
