The 24 hour Knoxville Cancer Relay is complete.
Runner’s crossed the finish line at 7:00 p.m. just in time for the start of the Knoxville Panthers football game against Bondurant-Farrar. They were greeted by a tunnel of excited Panther fans as they delivered the game ball to the stadium. The combined effort of relay and community runners equaled out to 776 miles or about the distance from Knoxville to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Relay runner and Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch tells KNIA/KRLS News he has been amazed by the tremendous support for the Relay. Money raised by the Relay will contribute to the total raised for the American Cancer Society as a part of Coaches versus Cancer.
