On Thursday night the Mid Iowa Narcotics Enforcement task force and Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, in consultation with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in Columbia.

As a result of the warrant, Bruce Alan Williamson of Columbia was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held on a $40,000 bond. As a result of further investigation, an employee of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on administrative leave. This investigation is being handled by the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation. This investigation is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time.
