The Pella City Council received long-term goals from the city’s community services and electric departments following their regular council meeting Tuesday.

City Administrator Mike Nardini says improvements to parks and renovations to the Community Center on Union Street are the priorities for community services. For electric, it’s working on implementing more reliability for the east side of town, installing more smart meters to reduce consumption during peak hours, and to explore ways to expand solar energy in the city.
