A Knoxville man was arrested Monday on a felony domestic abuse charge when he allegedly punched a woman in the face.

Knoxville police officers were called to a domestic disturbance at the upstairs apartments at 124 South Second Street around 7:30 a.m. Officers encountered a victim who said 51-year-old William Eugene Jones had been sleeping and she poured a liquid on him. When Jones woke he allegedly hit her in the face. Officers observed that the victim’s nose was bleeding and possibly broken. Jones was located and arrested on a third or subsequent domestic abuse charge, a class D Felony.
