A Knoxville man with a warrant for a parole violation out of Des Moines was discovered and ran from police in the city Wednesday morning.
Christopher Joseph Rivers was located by officers and ran across railroad tracks, falling twice and cutting his face and hands, but was eventually cornered behind a house in the 300 block of North Third Street according to Lieutenant Aaron Fuller. Rivers was found to possess methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and served with the parole violation warrant.
