The Pella boys and girls bowling teams opened the season Saturday at Fairfield, and both came home with tough losses.

The boys were downed 2,935 – 2,256. Derek Hackman had Pella’s high game with a 195, while Logan Ruth’s 330 was the top two-game series for the Little Dutch.

The girls fell 2,398 – 1,806. Kaeleigh DeWaard had both the high game, with 157, and the top two games series, 293, for the Lady Dutch.
