After the holiday break of 2015 going into 2016, the Pleasantville Trojan Boys Basketball Team went on a run in Pride of Iowa Conference games that pushed them near the top of the standings.

Taking down Central Decatur, Nodaway Valley, Southeast Warren, Southwest Valley, Martensdale-St. Mary’s and East Union in their next six conference games, the Trojans forced a game for first place against a tough Lenox squad that ended in defeat. With the schedule largely the same heading into the 2017 year, and with more time to recover from the various injuries the Trojans have had to deal with, a run to the top of the conference looks possible for Pleasantville. The Trojans get back to action on January 3rd against Central Decatur.
