It is now just a few weeks from the Knoxville Coaches vs. Cancer day. Since basketball season started for the Knoxville Girls Squad, Coach Jim Uitermarkt has been encouraging his players to get involved and be a part of it. He adds that many of the past players have been involved with the day from playing in alumni games to being a part of the silent auction. Uitermarkt says this day is not just about being involved with Coaches vs. Cancer for the girls, it is about teaching them to be involved for whatever cause they take up. The Coaches vs. Cancer day is January 21st at Knoxville High School.
