A year ago, Pella native Kyle Korver was in the midst of an historic shooting season that led him to his first NBA all-star game. This year, the pace has cooled slightly, but the 35-year-old forward for the Atlanta Hawks remains one of the league’s top marksman.
The 1999 Pella High grad is in his 14th NBA season. He’s shooting 41.4-percent from the three-point arc and 90.5-percent from the free throw line, helping him to average 9.2 points-per-game.
He’s played in 30 of the team’s 33 contests, starting 21 of them. Atlanta is 17-16 this season, second place in the Southeast Division and fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
