Habitat for Humanity of Marion County is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary next month.

Former 2nd District Congressman Leonard Boswell will be one of the many dignitaries attending. Boswell tells KNIA/KRLS News “Habitat for Humanity in Marion County has, and continues to demonstrate community care at its best.” Boswell attended the kickoff event. Since its inception the group has constructed 50 homes. Craig Kelley, one of the founding members, says the success of the program is a reflection of God’s work through the people of Marion County who have donated and volunteered. The celebration will take place at the Graham Conference Center at Central College on February 11 from 5:30-8:30 PM. The evening will include highlights of Habitat’s history and milestones in Marion County along with a catered dinner, silent auction, and volunteer awards.
