The Marion County Republican Central Committee honored local law enforcement departments last night.
They read a proclamation and gave a small token of appreciation to the Knoxville, Melcher-Dallas, Pleasantville, and Pella Police Departments, Iowa State Patrol, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at the Pella Country Club.
Chair of the Marion County Republican Central Committee T. Waldmann Williams tells KNIA/KRLS News they wanted to the officers who give to local communities.
They plan to honor the Iowa DNR and Elk Rock State Park Rangers, as well as any other department that couldn’t make it last night at their meeting next month.
