The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The board heard a request from the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame presented by Barry Griffith. The Hall of Fame is asking for permission to construct additional suites on the north side of the track. The request must go through the county and the Fair Board. The Supervisors tabled the request in order to discuss it further with County Attorney Ed Bull. The supervisors also approved an update to the Marion County Law Enforcement Center telephone system. The age of the current system puts it at risk of being out of service for a long time if it malfunctions because replacement parts for the the system are not common and would take time to acquire.
