The Knoxville Senior Center will host a series of educational classes on diabetes held on Thursday mornings starting February 2 through March 9.
Classes will be held 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Knoxville Senior Center. Marion County Nutrition Director Dawn Allspach-Kline says being educated about the difficulties of diabetes and strategies for self-care benefit the whole community. Avoiding serious complications lowers healthcare cost and keeps diabetics independent. The cost for Senior Center members is $12, and $24 for non-members.
