With three weeks left in the regular season, the playoffs are starting to take shape in the Iowa Conference basketball race.

Today, Central will host Wartburg inside of P.H. Kuyper for a women’s and men’s doubleheader. The Dutch were swept this past Wednesday in their first league trip to Nebraska Wesleyan; the women fell, 67 – 58. They allowed the Prairie Wolves to shoot 16-for-31 from the field in the second half and turned the ball over a total of 20 times. Central dropped their road game against the Knights earlier this season, 78 – 41.

For the men, their momentum was temporarily snapped after getting drubbed by Wesleyan, 101 – 80, in a game where the program’s leading scorer, Colby Taylor, was limited to just six points in 16 minutes of action. The Dutch were winners over Wartburg in a close game on January 14, 94 – 90.

Today’s doubleheader will be broadcast live on 92.1 KRLS, KNIAKRLS.com, and via our KRLS mobile app. Cory Houser and Jacob Dreyer will be high above P.H. Kuyper for the call, starting at 1:45 p.m. with the PellaMotors.com Radio Pregame Show, and 2:00 for the opening tip of the women’s game.
