Influenza-related deaths are on the rise in Iowa, to date 25 influenza-associated deaths have been reported in Iowa.

No deaths were reported in Marion County but the Marion County Public Health Department warns residents influenza activity continues to increase across Iowa and it’s never too late to get vaccinated against influenza. Citizens are reminded that if they are at all feeling ill, they should stay home until 24 hours after their fever resolves before returning back to regular activities.
