A slow start on offense, scoring just 5 points in the first quarter, doomed the Trojans in their first round district game at home against West Marshall last night in a 59-49 defeat.

The Trojan defense lived up to their end of the bargain, allowing only 24 first half points, but a 2-1-2 zone put on by the visiting Trojans put too much pressure on the cold shooters of Pleasantville. A strong push in the third and fourth quarters saw Pleasantville get within three points multiple times, but every run was answered by a disciplined West Marshall squad. The Trojans season ends with a 13-8 record and says goodbye to three seniors.
