The Knoxville Public Library will be hosting their International Film Fan Club night on Thursday, February 16th from 6 to 8 p.m.
The movie of the night will be “The Naked Island” a Japanese movie filmed in 1960, it portrays a family’s daily struggle to survive with a stunning visual documentary-like style without any dialogue. Director of the Knoxville Public Library Roslin Thompson tells KNIA/KRLS News the movie is about a family’s daily struggle to survive on an island while having to row a small boat back and forth to the mainland to get fresh water. The International Film Fan Club hosts a movie viewing every third Thursday of the month in the Meeting room at the Knoxville Public Library. For more information visit the Knoxville Public Library.
