Mustangs Now One Win From State
The PCM Mustangs took care of Eddyville Blakesburg Freemont inside the PCM high school gym on Wednesday 67-50.
The Mustangs would get out to a slow start and trail at the end of the 1st quarter 14-12 as the Rockets were led by hot shooting from Randie Richmond who had 11 of her 17 points in the first half. The Mustangs would find hot shooting of their own in the second quarter and tie the game at half 28-28. Senior Alexis Timmins would catch fire from behind the arc and hit five three pointers on the night to led the Mustangs with 17 points. Regan Freeland would ad 17 as well and Katie VandeWall would pitch in 14 and the Mustangs would break the game open in the second half cruising to a 17 point win. The Mustangs will now face West Marshall on Saturday after West Marshall took down Chartion 47-42. Coach Jeff Lindsey knows it didn’t matter who his girls face next, they will be ready to go on Saturday. PCM and West Marshall will head to Bondurant for a 7 p.m. tip off on Saturday with the winner heading to the state tournament.
