The final round of area high school teams started the 2017 basketball playoffs last night.

Pella and Knoxville each advanced from the first round of district play in games heard live on KNIA/KRLS. The Pella and Indianola girls will try to become the next teams to qualify for a trip to Wells Fargo Arena and the state tournament. The Lady Dutch host Ballard on 92.1 KRLS, and Indianola hosts Sioux City East on KNIA2 at kniakrls.com. Pella Christian’s boys are playing for a chance at substate against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on KNIA. All of this evening’s games start at 7 p.m. with pregame for Pella and Pella Christian beginning at 6:30.
