The Pella City Council approved their fiscal year 2018 budget at their meeting this week.
City of Pella Finance Director Corey Goodenow tells KNIA/KRLS News approximately $38 million in expenditures for the upcoming year were approved. The city is maintaining a $10.20 property tax levy for the 16th year in a row.
Expenses including utilities, debt services, and salaries make up the majority of the budget. Goodenow says the next 12 months will be a planning year for large scale projects.
