A late-winter storm with larger impact in northern Iowa brought light snow and a few travel headaches to Marion County overnight Sunday into Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, 2.3 inches was recorded just south of Pella, and approximately two inches fell at the KNIA/KRLS Studios in Knoxville. Snow ordinances in Pella and Knoxville were issued, with 64 tickets written for violations in the Tulip City and none reported in Knoxville. A few accidents occurred along Highway 163 in the morning, but there were no serious injuries. Colder weather will stay in place through Wednesday, with a spring-like warm up expected over the weekend.
