Thursday evening the Knoxville Hy-Vee had the opportunity to surprise one lucky customer with a check for $10,000 from their Fuel Saver Plus Perks giveaway.

Don Sparks and his wife Cheryl were surprised by the Hy-Vee staff after they were informed they had won a free meal during the Thursday night dinner special. As Don and Cheryl entered the store they were told that they didn’t just win a free meal, they had won the grand prize as well. Don told KNIA/KRLS News he was shocked when he found out, and nothing like that had ever happened to him. As far as plans for spending the money Don says he has a granddaughter on the way, so he will find something to spend it on. Don added, that he might just have to take a night off of work to let it sink in.
