Playing shorthanded with an injury-riddled roster, the PCM Mustang girls soccer team dropped a pair of games to larger schools over the weekend, first to Newton 3-0, then to Perry 1-0.

The Mustangs have had at times this season up to nine total starters out at any one time, and have been forced to play younger girls to fill holes on the roster. Coach Bill Sowder told KNIA/KRLS Sports, injuries happen, and he tends to look ahead at how this will benefit the team in the future rather than let it affect the team currently.
