The Knoxville Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office will take their rivalry to the track tomorrow.

The two departments will battle one another in a friendly racing competition at Slideways Karting Center. The event will feature two teams of eight racers as they rub bumpers to see which department has the best drivers. The racing will begin at 10 a.m. and will run until noon. The public is welcome to attend and cheer for their favorite officers as the two departments race for fun and to build comradery and teamwork.
