A Knoxville man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly headbutting and choking a woman.

Dustin Ray Lancial, 34, was arrested for domestic assault abuse knowingly impeding breathing, a class D felony. According to court documents the victim of the assault informed law enforcement about an incident on Tuesday, May 9th in which Lancial was locked out of a house by the victim. Lancial allegedly kicked in the door to the house and then headbutted the victim. The victim told law enforcement that Lancial then took the victim to the ground and began pressing on her neck which impeded her breathing. Lancial booked into the Marion County Jail on $5,000 bond with a preliminary hearing date set for May 18th.
