The Knoxville Panther Scholarship Foundation will hold their annual Scholarship Awards Night at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center tomorrow evening.
88 Seniors will be receiving scholarship awards for their academic achievements totaling $58,000 worth of scholarships given to the class of 2017. The foundation will also present scholarships to members of the classes of 2014, 2015 and 2016 with a total of $127,500 worth of scholarships to be given out by the Knoxville Panther Scholarship Foundation tomorrow evening. Board President n Curt Froyen tells KNIA/KRLS News all seniors had to do to receive a scholarship was to apply for one. Froyen says the scholarship application process begins on January 1st and runs through March 1st and any interested student can go to the Knoxville Panther Scholarship Foundation Facebook page or website to find more information on how to apply. Tomorrow evening’s event is also a chance for other organizations across Knoxville to present their scholarship awards to the class of 2017. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and help celebrate the accomplishments of the Knoxville High School students.
