Roads across Marion County continue to see improvements.
Lisbon Drive and Highway G40 are two projects Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian says construction crews have been working diligently on. Christian tells KNIA/KRLS News crews just completed the asphalt patching on Lisbon Drive and the contractor has started on the first of two asphalt lifts for the surface overlay. Christian says he expects road crews to have the surface overlay completed later this week with weather permitting. Christian tells KNIA/KRLS News Highway G40 will see a closure beginning next week and with great weather residents can expect between a three and four week closure period. Following the closure, G40 will be back to one lane for another 2 to 3 weeks to complete the entire project. A gravel road detour will be available.
