The 2017 Marion County Fair Queen Competition will take place tomorrow.

The competition will take place at First United Methodist Church in Knoxville at 7 p.m. Paige Busick, Ashlee Dethrow, Kaley Iddings, Alexia Lepley, Natalie Montgomery, and Kortney VanderLinden will all take part in the competition for the chance to be named the 2017 Marion County Fair Queen.

KNIA/KRLS Program Director Spencer Dirks, who will be emceeing the event for the 11th straight year, says it’s a really fun event; the girls are always impressive and he invites everyone to come watch. Candidates will be scored by a panel of judges and questioned about Marion County and the fair to determine a Queen. The winner will preside over the Marion County Fair from July 14th through July 20th, and will also represent Marion County at the Iowa State Fair in August.
