Just past the halfway mark of the season and it has been an exciting racing season with point battles that should go down to the last race. Depending on who is here tonight for the 410 action could determine who comes away with the point lead. The top three, Ian Madsen, Brian Brown, and Austin McCarl should race tonight in Knoxville. All three are within 281 points of each other. In the 360s, while Clint Garner may not have clinched anything, his strong run last week coupled with Ryan Giles’ mechanical misfortune has Garner up over second place Matt Moro by 101 with Giles falling to third. The 305s is still anyone’s race among four drivers, leader Kevin Hetrick, along with rookie Eric Bridger, Kade Higday and Chris Walraven. Tonight is also Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame induction night as four new names will be enshrined. Driver Danny Lasoski, along with Track Official Craig Johnson, Mechanic and Owner Jeff Woodruff, and going in posthumously is Official and Fair Board Member Jim Roush. You can hear the action on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com with Live Track Side at five and Race Night’s Live at seven.
