In 1982 wings were added to the sprint cars at the Knoxville Raceway on a regular basis and it has been that way ever since. Tonight, the wings are put aside as the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Cars roar into town. If last night’s stop at I-80 Speedway in Nebraska was any indication, the fans will be in for a real treat tonight. Tyler Courtney will be coming in with the most momentum as he won the show at I-80 last night. However Chris Windom, Justin Grant, and Robert Ballou will also won a piece of the prize. Also add in Hall of Fame Inductee Dave Darland, and about 20 other cars tonight should be a great night of racing. Along with the USAC cars, there is a weekly 360 and 305 show as Clint Garner is starting to get a stranglehold on the points lead in the 360s after his win last week ,and Kevin Hetrick still holds a slim lead over Ryan Leavitt in the 305s. The winged 410s are off while most of the drivers are racing at Jackson, Minnesota this weekend. Join us for all the action on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com for Live Track Side at five and Race Night’s Live at seven.
