The Pella Community Food Shelf received a big boost ahead of the busiest times for their organization.

Executive Director Melissa Zula tells KNIA/KRLS News she’s thankful for the support received from the KNIA/KRLS Golf Classic earlier this summer.

Zula says the food comes at a good time for the pantry, as August is one of their highest demand months as families prepare to go back to school. KNIA/KRLS partnered with HyVee in Pella and Knoxville to donate over $2000 to the Pella Food Shelf and Helping Hands of Knoxville as part of the annual golf classic.
