Continuing our top ten countdown for the 2016-2017 school year for PCM High School with #5. A track and field team that had high expectations met those lofty goals by performing at the state track and field meet for the PCM Mustang girls track and field team.

The 4×400 relay team competed at the Drake Blue Oval and finished with a silver medal. The team consisting of Jayci Vos, Payton Schut, Sierra Foster, and Rachel Stafford performed well in the preliminary round finishing fifth with a time of 4:05.78, but turned it on come championship Saturday. With a time of 4:04.19, shaving more than a second off their previous time, the Mustangs missed out on a gold medal to Western Christian by just two seconds.
