One of the top moments in Pella Christian sports this last year wasn’t even the top moment for the most decorated two-sport athlete in the Eagles’ illustrious history.
But while the significance may be small in the scope of Levi Jungling’s career, the special mark had even bigger significance for one of the best three-year runs in Eagles’ boys’ basketball program history. Jungling topped 1500 career points in the Eagles race to 2nd place in the highly competitive Little Hawkeye Conference.
He knocked down a second-quarter three vs. Newton to eclipse the mark in the team’s 68-62 comeback victory for the regular season finale.
Jungling finished with 1,620 points in his career, just 55 short of the school record set by Eric Pothoven. The class of 2017 that Levi led finished in the top 3 at state from 2015-17.
