The Pleasantville High School Dance Team was featured as pre-game entertainment for the Iowa “All-Star” Shrine Bowl at the UNI-Dome this past Saturday.
It was the 28th straight year the Pleasantville Dance Team has been the featured pregame entertainment. The team performed six routines for the extended pregame show, including a combined routine with the Iowa Shrine Bowl cheerleaders. In addition, on Friday July 28 the Pleasantville Dance Team held a “mini-camp” for several Shrine Hospital patients and taught them a streamer routine which was performed during the pregame festivities. Their pregame Show concluded with a Patriotic salute to our military, and PHS Dance Team assistant coach Miika Busick sang the National Anthem.
Members of the Pleasantville Dance Team are Seniors: Kayleigh Lewis, Katelyn Sandholdt and Kylee Van Haalen;
Juniors: Payton Bumgardner, Paige Busick, Jordan Dursky, Emma Padellford, Taylor Ripperger and Tessa Wadle;
Sophomores Kasey Pelzer and Payton Sheets ; and freshman Taryn Brent.
