Tonight is the night for residents of Marion County to come out to meet and say thank you to the first responders who make the county a safe place to live.

Marion County Emergency Management, the Knoxville Hy-Vee, and KNIA/KRLS are hosting the first annual Marion County Public Safety Night Out tonight. Tonight’s event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the square in downtown Knoxville, and will feature a free will donation dinner provided by the Knoxville Hy-Vee. Law enforcement vehicles, fire trucks and ambulances from all over the county will all be on display as residents can shake hands with first responders while learning more about what each department does to keep them safe. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio will be on hand making announcements and playing music.
