Congressman Dave Loebsack made a stop in Marion County on Monday as part of his Congressional August District Work Period.
Loebsack is spending the month of August traveling around the state, meeting face to face with Iowans to listen to their thoughts, concerns and ideas. Congressman Loebsack tells KNIA/KRLS News he wanted to visit areas of his district affected by the drought and see for himself just how bad drought conditions are. Congressman Loebsack stopped in at the Farm Bureau Office in Knoxville before taking tours of area farms and visiting with farmers and rural business owners.
