The registration Deadline for Marion County Master Gardener Training has been extended to Monday, August 21st.

The Master Gardener program is looking for people who are passionate about volunteering and gardening. No previous gardening knowledge is required. The program equips volunteers to grow in knowledge about gardening best practices, contribute produce to food banks to enhance food security, and make Iowa’s fairgrounds and main streets beautiful.

The ISU Extension and Outreach Marion County office will hold training sessions beginning September 7th and running through November 2nd, 2017. Sessions will be held at the Marion County Extension Office in Knoxville and will take place from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evenings. There will also be a training session held on the Iowa State University campus on Saturday, October 7th and 21st. The fee for the course is $195. To apply for the course click here.
