The 7th Annual Nana Jana 5K Fun Run will take place Saturday, September 23rd at Dan-D Farms five miles south of Knoxville.

The run is held each year to help raise awareness for ovarian cancer. Creator of the run Dan Dennison tells KNIA/KRLS News runners will have to run through obstacles such as bean fields, cow patches, creeks and timber and over some fences. Dennison says the obstacles will be whatever he can come up with before September 23rd. The run begins at 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Runners can pre-register by September 13th and receive a special event t-shirt. For more information or to pre-register click here.
