More Marion County residents continue to be recognized for their volunteer efforts.

Mary Jane Murphy and her husband Myles Murphy will both receive Governor’s Volunteer Awards from Governor Kim Reynolds during a special recognition ceremony held September 25 in Pleasant Hill. Mary Jane assists her husband, Myles, by driving him to Senior Medicare Patrol presentations in which Myles has volunteered for approximately 17 years. Mary Jane and Myles have been active volunteers in such programs as the Good Samaritan Free Clinic, Meals on Wheels, Kiwanis, Neighbor Helping Neighbor, SHARE Food Distribution, and Helping Hands Food Pantry.
