A Pella Christian graduate is returning to his alma mater to help keep the school financially strong for years to come.

Fredrick DeHaan was named the Pella Christian Schools’ Development Coordinator. The 1978 graduate of Pella Christian High School brings a wealth of fundraising experience to the Pella community including more than a dozen years of charitable giving work on behalf of faith-based schools in Michigan. DeHaan tells KNIA/KRLS News he’s excited to return to Pella and help ensure the Pella Christian schools remain financially strong.

“I really believe in what the role of education is in opening doors, of having young people aspire and reach higher to be whatever their gifts and talents allow them to be–that’s an exciting and dynamic enterprise that I love spending my career in helping to encourage and strengthen,” he says.

DeHaan will work on behalf of both Pella Christian High School and Grade School, including the elementary renovation fundraising project.
