The Pella High volleyball team fared well against big school competition Saturday at the Southeast Polk tournament.
The Lady Dutch won their morning pool by beating the host Rams (21-7, 17-21, 15-7), North Polk (18-21, 21-14, 15-7) and Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln (21-17, 21-15).
In the gold bracket, Pella’s day came to an end with a loss to Cedar Rapids Jefferson (25-15, 25-18).
The Lady Dutch, ranked third in the latest class 4-A rankings, are now 11-2 on the season. They’ll host Indianola on Tuesday.
