The Knoxville Police Department held their 2nd Annual Ice Cream with a Cop event Sunday evening.
Knoxville residents were treated to free ice cream with the toppings of their choice while being served by Knoxville Police Officers. Lt. Aaron Fuller tells KNIA/KRLS News the turnout was better than they expected with 50 to 75 people in line as they began serving. One of the Knoxville people who attended the event, Jordan Brandon, tells KNIA/KRLS News he came out to hang out with the police officers and have fun. With all kinds of toppings at the event, Brandon says he chose chocolate wormy ice cream to enjoy. The Ice Cream with a Cop event was held as a way to say thank you to the people of Knoxville for their support of their local law enforcement officers.
